The victim spoke about this in her complaint. According to her, she received messages with promises to spread damaging information if she did not pay off the debt.

During the inspection, it turned out that the collectors acted in violation of the rules. They threatened the debtor and her father, whom they contacted without her consent. Screenshots of messages and a video recording of the screen provided by Krasnoyarsk helped prove the violations. The video recorded a click on the link from the message to the creditor’s website to pay the debt – this confirmed that the actions were carried out in the interests of the collection agency.

As a result of the investigation, the organization was brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Art. 14.57 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation and imposed a fine. After this, the threats to the woman and her father stopped.

The GUFSSP reminds: if your rights are violated when collecting a debt, you can contact bailiffs. The main thing is to record evidence: take screenshots, record screens and telephone conversations. The more materials, the faster the reaction will follow.
