Ukraine regained control over 434 km² of territory and thwarted a new Russian offensive – Zelensky

Ukraine began its own counter-offensive at the end of 2025 to prevent a massive attack, the president said.

“We launched the operation at the end of the year and regained control of 444,434 km². It was a success story, and not just on the ground. You know this war is not just about the land, it is also about the people and the disruption of Russia's planned offensive operation,” he said.

According to him, one of the main reasons for the success was the tactics of using drones and other systems. Thanks to this, the occupiers began to lose about 45 thousand military personnel per month.
