Revolution in vocational schools. 11 new competitions are coming

Design of the core curriculum for 11 new vocational education professions, including: optoelectronics technique, agrohorticulture technique and cybersecurity technique, was submitted for public consultation on Monday. Education in these professions is to be possible from the new school year.


This is a draft amendment to the regulation on the core curriculum for vocational education professions and additional professional skills in selected vocational education professions.
The amendment to the regulation is related to: announcement of the introduction of 11 new professions to the classification of vocational education professions.
The project includes proposals for core curricula in these professions. It's about the competitions:
- agro-gardener,
- garden assistant,
- florist assistant,
- green areas gardener,
- optoelectronics fitter,
- optoelectronics technician,
- spectacle optics technician,
- agrohorticulture technician,
- landscape architecture and arboriculture technician,
- floristic arrangement techniques,
- cybersecurity technician.
Determining the core curriculum for training in new professions will enable training in them in schools providing vocational education. It will also be possible to provide education during vocational qualification courses or vocational skills courses within the scope of qualifications identified in these professions.
The project also proposed a new wording of the core curriculum for the following professions: florist, mechanic driver, road transport technician, avionics technician, aircraft mechanic technician, airport operational services technician, pharmaceutical technician, orthopedic technician, medical sterilization technician and occupational therapist.
The amendment to the regulation is to enter into force on September 1, 2026 (PAP)
