Tick activity remains high in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Over the past week, 2,252 residents of the region, including 445 children, turned to doctors after being bitten by ticks. This was reported by Rospotrebnadzor in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

A total of 8,745 casualties have been registered since the beginning of the season. This number includes 2,193 children. This year, several tick-borne infections have already been detected among residents of the region. 23 people fell ill with tick-borne viral encephalitis, 24 with borreliosis, 4 with Siberian tick-borne typhus, and 1 with anaplasmosis. Among those who fell ill with tick-borne infections were 10 children.

Experts remind that the risk of encountering a tick in nature still remains high. Residents of the region are advised to be careful when traveling outside the city, wear closed clothing and regularly examine themselves, children and pets after walks.

If you are bitten by a tick, it is better to go to a medical facility. Doctors will help you remove the tick correctly and, if necessary, refer it for examination.
