The Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, said on Saturday, March 14, that the illegal display of posters and graffiti is vandalizing Bucharest and announces tough measures against companies that put up posters illegally.

“Along with grafitty (actually tagging), the illegal display of posters is a horrible disease that afflicts Bucharest and that no one has treated!
I ordered the local police to identify all the companies that, in an organized manner, vandalize the city and to make criminal complaints for vandalism to the owners and administrators of these companies”. the mayor sent.
It also asked institutions that manage poles or other elements of public space to take them to court for the recovery of clean-up costs.
“Judges who try vandalism cases like this are part of the problem. More than 99% of vandalism cases settle for nothing. It's not a problem for them that the city looks the way it does and that it will cost us tens of millions to clean our buildings of graffiti.
It didn't take more than one night for one of the companies with such miserable, uncivilized practices to stick other posters on the cleaned elements.” he added.
Ciprian Ciucu emphasized that in Sector 6, where he was mayor before winning the elections for the Capital City Hall, he managed to eliminate these displays, having “a reformed and functional Local Police”.
“I declare war on all fronts of these parasite companies. And the artists who allow themselves to be promoted in this uncivilized way, through vandalism, should feel embarrassed. I appeal to artists to stop accepting this type of promotion! And you live in this city! It is the Capital of Romania and it is shameful! The phenomenon is generalized. concluded Ciucu.
