Public transport strike in Italy. The MAE has issued a travel warning

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) issued, on Tuesday, a travel warning for Italy, a country that is to be affected on Friday by a strike in local public transport in the capital Rome and by air, at the national level.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs Romanian citizens who are in, transiting or intending to travel to the Italian Republic that on 14.11.2025 a strike will be organized in the local public transport sector (Rome) and in the air sector (at national level), with a duration of 24 hours. As a result, there are possible disruptions to the circulation of means of transport, as well as delays or cancellations of air flights”the MAE sent in a press release.
Thus, the MAE recommends Romanian citizens to periodically check the internet pages of the transport companies to obtain updated information regarding the means of transport and the flight schedule.
