PSG started the game much better at the Parc Des Princes and forced the opening of the scoring from the first minutes. The Buimaca defense of the English hardly rejected the pressure in the first minutes. The English lasted only 10 minutes: Barcola was found with a pass in the box and volleyed home. The ball went straight under Jorgensen's crossbar.

After only 5 minutes, Ousmane Dembele shot hard, but his shot was deflected by the English goalkeeper into the crossbar. It wasn't until the 18th minute that Chelsea responded through Pedro Neto who sprinted down the left flank, crossed, and Pacho was close to sending the ball into his own goal.

A spell of Chelsea dominance followed, with the English side missing two big chances through Joao Pedro by the 25th minute. Chelsea found the equalizer through Malo Gusto after just 3 minutes: the full-back had been unmarked, Enzo found him perfectly with a long pass and the Frenchman beat Safonov.

Chelsea threw themselves into attack, found themselves in defense again Ousmane Dembele set the half-time score, 2-1. The Ballon d'Or escaped on the counterattack, twice dribbled past Fofana and beat Jorgensen.

In the second half Chelsea came out with more appetite for the game, and in the 57th minute Enzo Fernandez, the decisive passer of the first goal scored from Pedro Neto's pass.

2-2 and from here the balance on the table was broken. PSG revved their engines and scored in the 74th minute: Jorgensen miscued a simple pass, the ball was intercepted by the Parisians and sent to Vitinha. The Portuguese jumped the ball from the takeover and lobbed the English goalkeeper.

Kvaratskhelia, entering the second half, managed a “double” in the last minutes of the game: a shot from the edge of the box to the long corner, and then a simple execution from the box.
