The discussion also comes in the context where FCSB is not doing well in the championship. The red-blues are only in 10th place, with 21 points after 17 stages, 5 behind Farul Constanța, the occupant of the last play-off spot.
Supporters sent a direct appeal. “Do something! Leave the supporters! Gather, speak, but come back the supporters are leaving!”
The players listened without answering. They stood in front of the pitch for five minutes, their eyes on the group of fans who were expressing their disappointment after another negative result in Europe.
The fans pointed out that they were also present at this match, in difficult conditions, and the expectations were high. At the end, the players and supporters parted in applause.
The failure with Red Star accentuates the crisis the champion is going through. FCSB remains with one win in the main group of the Europa League, the one with the Eagles, from the first stage.
For FCSB, the away duel with Farul Constanța follows on November 30. In the event of a failure, the champion also moves away from the Superliga play-off.
