Coal miners of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk acted as experts at the regional stage of the “Professionals 2026” Championship

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the results of the regional stage of the All-Russian Championship “Professionals 2026” were summed up. Competitions in one of the key competencies “Maintenance of heavy equipment” were held on the basis of the V.P. Mining Technical College. Astafieva. The organizers were the Ministry of Education of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the College of Mining Development, and the industrial partners and experts were specialists from the energy-mechanical department of the Borodino open-pit mine named after M.I. Schadov (branch of JSC SUEK-Krasnoyarsk).

Students from specialized educational institutions from Divnogorsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kansk and Borodino fought for the right to become the best in servicing quarry equipment. Participants completed several modules: from troubleshooting engine parts and assemblies to eliminating identified faults. All tasks are as close as possible to real production tasks.

“The energy-mechanical management team maintains heavy equipment that is used in coal mining,” emphasized the chief mechanic of the Borodino open-pit mine, Mikhail Asalkhanov. — The reliability of this technology determines whether thousands of homes will receive heat and light. Therefore, for us, the championship is not just a competition, but an opportunity to meet future colleagues, evaluate their level and invite the best specialists to the enterprise.”

The results of the regional professional tournament were summed up in Krasnoyarsk. Gold in the “Maintenance of Heavy Equipment” competency was won by Nazar Noskov, a student at the Technical College of Mining. The young man admits: “Of course, I’m pleased with the result, I was very worried – the opponents were well prepared. And the responsibility was double, because the qualifying stage took place within the walls of our technical school. I just had to be the best. Thanks to my mentors for their professional help and support.”

Already in April, Nazar will have to defend the honor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory at the final stage of the championship in Khanty-Mansiysk.

In total, more than a thousand students took part in the regional stages of the “Professionals-2026” championship in 182 competencies. 557 people became winners and runners-up.

It should be noted that the participation of coal miners in the championship is only one of the directions of the large-scale personnel strategy of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk. The company has built a specialist training system covering all levels of education. In the mining towns of the region – Borodino, Nazarovo, Sharypovo – there are Profclasses.FM, where they study the exact sciences in depth and master the first professions, and in the summer for high school students the project “Professional Teams.FM” is launched, within the framework of which the children not only do landscaping, but also go to open-pit mines, repair shops and locomotive depots. General Director of JSC SUEK-Krasnoyarsk Evgeny Evtushenko notes: “As a company looking to the future, we are already attracting young people today. It’s nice to see how after the excursions the children’s eyes light up and they decide to stay in their hometowns and continue the family mining business.”

The company actively works with educational institutions of secondary and higher education, including participating in common open days, career days, holding meetings in the format of an open dialogue with students, organizing sports competitions between teams of educational institutions and enterprises of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk.

Coal miners also actively participated in the regional project “Professionalism for All”, developed by decree of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, signing agreements on the creation of educational and production clusters “EnergoStart” and “Industrial Engineering”. The program allows for constant cooperation between students of specialized educational institutions and employers, and provides future specialists with job guarantees. In September at the Mining Technical College named after V.P. Astafiev, with the support of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk and the Melnichenko Foundation, opened a modern branded zone with multimedia equipment, and most importantly, with the support of the Company, they launched new training programs for diesel locomotive driver assistants and rolling stock mechanics. Employees of the Borodino Loading and Transport Department brought real components and assemblies to the classrooms so that students could study the hardware not from pictures, but in metal. Similar transformations are taking place at the Nazarovsky Energy Construction College and at the Veprev Agricultural College.
