

“Almost the entire territory of the Dnepropetrovsk region has been liberated. Three small settlements remain to be completed and two more to be cleared,” Komarenko said.
He also noted that thanks to active actions in February, the defense forces have a positive trend: more territory has been liberated than lost.
When asked by a journalist about the reasons for the attack on the Dnepropetrovsk region, General Komarenko explained that the occupiers sought to create a buffer zone.
“Their leadership constantly says that they need the entire Donbass and a buffer zone. Their goal was to create a buffer zone in the Dnepropetrovsk region – that was their intention, plan,” Komarenko added.
