“Today, the coal industry is going through difficult times, so along with support measures at the current moment, a course for deep processing is required – the production of coke, sorbents, carbon materials, polymers, etc.,” he said. “The task is difficult, but you need to do it now.”

“The direction of deep processing of brown coal has prospects, and we have already done a lot of work,” said the technical director of LLC Ugol-Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences Sergey Islamov. – In 2007, on the basis of the Berezovsky section, the first installation for partial gasification of coal in a boiling layer was launched into operation. Unique technology allowed to establish the production of a new product – thermocox. In the future, on its basis, a whole range of innovative materials was developed. ”

In 2013, coal miners began to produce briquetted fuel for metallurgy from thermocox, and in 2017, the Siberian Briket, a smokeless fuel familiar to the Krasnoyarski, was launched here. In 2024, the Berezovsky section was built first of all the complex for deep processing of brown coal. Investments amounted to more than 1.5 billion rubles.

Today, in addition to fuel briquettes in the Berezovsky section, lining material for the aluminum industry is produced, sorbent for oil refining and water treatment. The total design capacity of the enterprise is about 30 thousand tons/year. After launch at the end of 2025, the second stage of the complex will increase 1.5 times. In particular, the enterprise occupies the first place in Russia for the production of carbon sorbents, providing more than half of sales in this market segment.

“The technology of layer gasification of brown coal will be used here, which allows you to make semi-bums of high pressure, sorbents for metallurgy, garbage engineering plants, as well as a carbon restorer-a replacement of a domain coke,” said the head of the innovative technology of the coal processing of Suek-Krasnoyarsk JSC, Doctor of Technical Sciences Sergey Stepanov. -It is worth noting that the coals of the Kansko-Achinsky pool are the perfect raw material for deep processing into premium types of products. They contain a minimum of sulfur and ash. “

Thanks to the innovative development of coal miners, the Krasnoyarsk Territory today is a coal processing leader. The scientific and production experience of Suek-Krasnoyarsk and coal-engineering will be presented in the fall at a large meeting of the Council for the Development of Siberia.
