The gynecologist earned PLN 2.5 million a year. He no longer works at the hospital

In 2025 at the Provincial Hospital of Ludwik Perzyna in Kalisz, a number of inspections were carried out, including: by the Marshal's Office of the Greater Poland Voivodeship, which revealed serious financial and organizational irregularities. The debt of the Kalisz hospital towards nurses due to outstanding remuneration for specializations amounted to PLN 37 million including interest.
In turn, one of the doctors was supposed to earn PLN 2.5 million a year. According to the findings of the auditors, Prof. Dariusz Samulak achieved exceptionally high income because he combined several positions at the same time – he served as deputy director, headed the gynecology and obstetrics department and worked as an on-duty doctor. The former director of the hospital, Radosław Kołaciński, was accused of, among other things, employing prof. Samulak for the position of deputy without competition. After the inspection, the case of the hospital was taken up by the District Prosecutor's Office in Ostrów Wielkopolski.
