Gunshots fired at US consulate in Toronto, police arrive on scene

Gunshots were fired at the US consulate in Toronto on Tuesday, Canadian police said, adding that no one was injured in the incident, Reuters and Agerpres report.
Toronto police announced on the “X” network that they responded to calls reporting shots fired at 05:29 local time (09:29 GMT).
Representatives for the US consulate in Toronto and the US State Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
In another message, police said they had no information about a potential suspect and were on the scene investigating the incident.
The new incident comes after an improvised device exploded in Norway on Sunday at the US embassy in Oslo, and police are still searching for a suspect with possible links to the Iran war.
In New York City, two men were charged with terrorism after throwing a homemade bomb at anti-Islam demonstrators over the weekend.
