Samsung S26 launch. Samsung is about to change something compared to the last few years, and the news is not really good for Europeans

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This year's Galaxy Unpacked launch event won't take place in the traditional mid-to-late January time frame, as happened with the Galaxy S23, S24, and S25 series, Forbes writes. Moreover, European fans of the Korean brand have more to look forward to.
Two voices familiar with the South Korean company have confirmed that the Galaxy Unpacked launch will take place on Wednesday, February 25 in San Francisco. That would mean that the new models could arrive in stores in Europe only on March 11, i.e. two months from now.
The next big event on the smartphone calendar is Mobile World Congress, which starts in Barcelona on March 2. Galaxy Unpacked comes less than a week before MWC, which will allow the South Korean company to dominate the conversation, just as it did at CES in 2025.
Samsung S26, another variant
After the failure with the Samsung Edge model, the company is likely to release a fourth Galaxy S26 smartphone in 2026, tentatively called the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE. Fan Edition models are mid-range variants of flagship smartphones that offer almost the same experience at a lower cost… rivaling the Pixel 9a or iPhone 16a.
Samsung S26, how much it could cost
The publication also offers some possible price options for the new models.
The benchmark will be the Galaxy S25 family. Last year's top models had prices of $799, about 3,485 lei, for the Galaxy S25, $999 – 4,357 lei – for the Galaxy S25+ and $1,299 – 5,665 lei – for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It's clear, the starting point.
It is possible that the price of the S26 will remain the same at $799, and so will the other models, S26+ $999, respectively $1299 for the top version, S26 Ultra.
