The head of state recalled that there is information that Russia can help Iran with intelligence data to adjust attacks on American bases. In addition, Russian components are found in Shahed drones used by Tehran.
“Every such fact indicates that we are dealing with regimes that are not just connected with each other, but that exist thanks to each other – the Russian and Iranian regimes – and are actually killing in a coordinated manner both here in Europe and there in the Middle East. That is why the defense must be coordinated,” Zelensky said.
The President emphasized that Ukraine is working to help the countries of the Middle East protect themselves from Shahed and quite rightly expects that Ukraine will receive “appropriate assistance” for its defense.

Zelensky announced a request from the US authorities to Ukraine to provide assistance to Middle Eastern countries in repelling attacks by Iranian drones on March 5. He said that he “instructed to provide the necessary funds and ensure the presence of Ukrainian specialists who can guarantee the necessary security.”
Earlier, Zelensky noted that such assistance can only be provided without reducing Ukraine’s own potential, for example, in exchange for ammunition for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, which are used as air defense.
