Polskie ePłatności and Przelewy24 join forces. The largest payment ecosystem in Poland is being created

Polskie ePłatności, founded in 2010, is the second largest operator of payment terminals in Poland. At the end of 2025, the number of terminals processed by PeP exceeded 284,000. Przelewy24 is the leader in payments in Polish e-commerce. It also offers comprehensive solutions for cross-border transactions. Both companies already handle 30% of all non-cash transactions in Poland, settling up to 11 million transactions a day. Both PeP and Przelewy24 belong to the Italian Nexi Group, a European leader in payments in Europe.

In the middle of the electronic payments boom in Poland, Polskie ePłatności (PeP) and Przelewy24 (P24) are accelerating integration, creating one of the broadest omnichannel offers on the market called . The latest NBP data leave no doubt: in 2025, the number of payment cards in circulation exceeded 47.2 million for the first time, and the number of terminals increased to 1.369 million.
Cashless payments are gaining importance both in stationary stores and in e-commerce – according to Gemius data, as many as 78% of Polish Internet users shop online. Fast transfer remains one of the most frequently chosen payment methods (64%), and among its users, as many as 46% most often choose Przelewy24.

Unique integration on the Polish market
PeP and Przelewy24, as leading players on our market, combine their experience and skills. One of the goals is to provide customers with comprehensive solutions based on a modern payment ecosystem. – emphasizes Nowosielski.
In practice, this means that Przelewy24 customers will be able to conveniently use their favorite payment methods (including fast transfers) also at thousands of points equipped with PeP terminals or from unified financial offers, regardless of how and where the sales process is carried out – all within one integrated service.
Nexi strengthens its position
The Nexi Group – formerly Nets – has expanded its influence in Poland through strategic acquisitions. Polskie ePłatności joined the group in 2020, while Przelewy24 joined a year earlier, in 2019. The culmination of these moves was the merger of Nets with Nexi in 2021, which made both Polish companies key elements of a global giant operating in 25 European countries. This allowed us to accelerate the development of integrated omnichannel services and ambitious expansion into international markets.
Financially, Nexi is not slowing down: in 12 months, revenues increased by 2.1%. EBITDA performed even better, rising by 2.3%, supported by an 11 basis point improvement in margin. The company demonstrated strong surplus cash generation of €806 million in 2025, up 12% year-on-year. Moreover, Nexi consistently and extensively invests in the development of artificial intelligence, implementing advanced technological projects in cooperation with global market leaders such as Google, Mastercard and Visa. Strategic partnerships and focus on innovation strengthen its position as one of the key leaders in the transformation of the payments sector – especially in the areas of mobile-first, smart mobility and the development of the digital euro concept.
