Addressing Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on television, Kac reminded him that he had pledged to disarm Hezbollah, but this had not happened.

Recalling the figure of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah leader killed by Israel in September 2024, Katz noted that “if (Hasan) Nasrallah (has already) destroyed Lebanon (once), then (the current leader of the group) Naim Qassem will destroy it again.”

Since Monday, 294 people have been killed and over 1,000 injured in attacks by Israeli troops on Lebanon, the Ministry of Health in Beirut reported on Saturday, quoted by AFP.

Israel has been waging war against Iran together with the US since February 28. At the same time, Israeli troops are attacking the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah, which has joined the conflict on Tehran's side.
