“The fact that she is now playing a girl who was scared and was forced to leave “to another country” because her road was blocked here is nonsense. This is a girl “with teeth”, and in a fight with a toad she is a viper,” assured Ani Lorak’s former friend.
He recalled that when persecution of the singer began in the Russian Federation for her unclear position regarding a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she did not leave the country, but “involved everything and everyone in order to nibble off her place in the sun in the show business of the Russian Federation.”
“So all these manipulations about a poor and unfortunate frightened girl who runs away when her air is “cut off” are complete bullshit,” he emphasized.
Bodnarchuk noted that Ani Lorak’s statement was addressed to Russians in order to normalize their position in the aggressor country of Russia.
“At the same time, she is not so stupid as not to understand that without Ukraine, any Ukrainian artist in Russia is a dry tree without blossoms and fruits. Ukraine has always been a progressive creative laboratory, the products of which developed that old-fashioned show business, which is now all in bast shoes and “old songs about the main thing,” the Ukrainian director “smeared” the singer and Russian show business.
Why Ani Lorak accused Tina Karol
In March 2026, Ani Lorak accused the Ukrainian singer Tina Karol of “squeezing” her out of Ukrainian show business.
According to the singer, she then faced a choice: stay in Ukraine or continue her career in the Russian Federation. At the same time, Ani Lorak complained that she was oppressed in Ukraine.
“I felt persecuted, yes, my path was blocked. It was as if they were squeezing out of a tube like toothpaste,” she explained.
The performer agreed with Bodnarchuk’s words that Tina Karol is supposedly the “white cardinal” of Ukrainian show business, “she stood guard over show business and did not allow Ani Lorak into Ukraine.” She complained that no one came to her defense.
Context
March 2, 2022 Ani Lorak stated that “a murderous and destructive war continues in Ukraine” and called for it to be stopped. The singer did not indicate to whom her appeal was specifically addressed, nor did she indicate that the aggressor country of the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine.
In March 2024, Russian propaganda media reported that Ani Lorak submitted documents to obtain citizenship of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation.
In November 2024, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree introducing the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to deprive state awards of traitors of Ukraine. Ani Lorak was on the list of those who were permanently deprived of state awards and the title “Honored Artist of Ukraine”. She was put on the list as a traitor to Ukraine.
