More and more cars from Germany at Polish stations. The difference in prices is clear


Polsat News reports that since Thursday, more and more cars with registration plates from our western neighbors have appeared at gas stations on the border with Germany. Many of them refuel in Lubieszyn (West Pomeranian Voivodeship).
– At the moment, there are 20 cars at one of the stations in the border town of Lubieszyn, and these are mostly cars with German license plates – said a Polsat News reporter present at the scene.

Germans come to Poland to refuel. The price differences are clear
The reason why Germans come to Poland to refuel is, of course, more attractive prices. In Lubieszyn, a liter of petrol currently costs approximately PLN 6.30. In turn, at the station located 300 m away on the German side, you have to pay approximately EUR 2.02 (approx. PLN 8 and 60 groszy).

A liter of diesel oil in Lubieszyn currently costs approximately PLN 7.29. At a German station you have to pay approximately EUR 2.07 (approx. PLN 8.00). – It's too expensive in Germany, you can't function like this – says one of the German drivers.

The government reassures: Poland is not threatened by fuel shortages
In recent days, there has been a visible increase in fuel prices at Polish stations. However, the government assures that there is no reason to worry and that there will be no shortage of gasoline or diesel oil in our country due to the conflict in the Middle East. — The war has no direct impact on the supply of crude oil and other fuels to Poland, assured Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
