Meeting at the Victoria Palace on the topic of PNRR: The ministries will send a calendar regarding the implementation of the projects. Romania absorbed over 50% of the allocated amount

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan convened a working meeting on Friday, March 6, at the Victoria Palace, to analyze the state of implementation of the reforms and investments assumed by Romania through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

At today's meeting, the evolution of each reform and investment project in the fields of energy, transport, agriculture, development, health, environment was analyzed in detail and solutions were identified for their implementation within the terms agreed with the representatives of the European Commission. Each reform coordinating ministry will submit to the Ministry of Investments and European Projects a calendar regarding the implementation of the projects, so that, at the level of the Government, there is a scoreboard, permanently updated, which reflects the status of the fulfillment of each commitment. After completion by MIPE, this scoreboard will be presented publicly”the Executive explained in a press release.

For the reform projects that involve the adoption of some bills, in the context of which a vote in the Parliament is necessary, it was established that the initiating ministries should promote them in the Government until May, for adoption by the Executive, and then be sent to the Legislature with the request to be debated and approved in an emergency procedure.

“Regarding the other reforms that require adoption through another type of normative act, the ministries will collaborate closely to develop, approve and accommodate the points of view so that they are approved within the established deadlines”informs the Executive.

The investment projects reconfirmed by the ministers for support through the PNRR, at the level of the Ministry of Finance, there are and will continue to be the related amounts, respectively co-financing and other eligible expenses.

The working meeting took place in the context where, at the meeting of the Interministerial Coordination Committee of PNRR on February 23, 2026, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan asked the ministries to speed up the pace of work and better coordination to overcome possible administrative blockages.

The working session at the Victoria Palace, together with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, was attended by Deputy Prime Ministers Oana Gheorghiu, Marian Neacșu, Tánczos Barna, Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Florin Barbu, Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, Cseke Attila, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Ciprian-Constantin Şerban, Minister of Environment, Water and Forests, Diana Buzoianu, Secretary General of the Government, Radu Oprea.

Until February 23, 2026, Romania absorbed 50.8% of the total PNRR value allocated to the country, i.e. 10,722,201,578 euros. The amount includes the pre-financing and the amounts collected for the Payment Request no. 1, for Payment Request no. 2 and partially for Payment Request no. 3.
