The European Commission has agreed to extend the investment settlement from the Polish KPO to the end of 2026 – said on Friday on platform X Funds Minister Katarzyna Pełczyńska -Nałęcz. According to previous assumptions, investments from the KPO had to be completed by August 31, 2026.

“Friday 13 and good news. There is consent to extend the KPO until the end of 2026. It seemed that it was impossible, and yet it succeeded! This is the result of our negotiations for several months,” said the head of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy in social media.
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz added that the implementation of this decision will require the MFIPR “renegotiations with the EC indicators for hundreds of projects”. She estimated that thanks to the consent of the EC, it would be possible to end and finance from KPO “many important investments for Poland”.

The minister informed on May 27 that the Commission issued a preliminary consent to extend the investment settlement from the KPO by three months, until November 2026. At that time, it announced that the final confirmation of this decision was to take place in the first days of June.
According to previous assumptions, all reforms and investments from the KPO should be completed by August 31, 2026 (PAP)
