Bournemouth have signed midfielder Alex Toth from Ferencvaros for €12 million. The agreement also includes 3 million euros in bonuses, as well as 10 percent of the future sale of the player, which amount will go to the Hungarian club.

The footballer signed a contract for five and a half years. Benfica, Galatasaray and Lazio have shown interest in Toth, 20, who has nine caps for Hungary.

In parallel, the most expensive departure from the Superliga this season is the transfer of Louis Munteanu from CFR Cluj to DC United, for the sum of 6 million euros.

Another Hungarian player arrived in the Premier League, for the sum of 12 million euros

The defensive midfielder made his debut for Ferencvaros in December 2024 and has since amassed 60 appearances and 4 goals for the club. This is Bournemouth's third transfer of the month following the signings of goalkeeper Fraser Forster and defender Ade Solanke. However, the club parted ways with their star, Antoine Semenyo, who moved to Manchester City.

Before the start of this season, Bournemouth lost another Hungarian player, Milos Kerkez, bought by Liverpool for the sum of 47 million euros, after two seasons spent in the jersey of the “cherries”.

The player brought up by Gyor and later co-opted in AC Milan's academy, arrived at Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar for 18 million euros in the summer of 2023.

Also at Liverpool is the best-rated Hungarian player, Dominic Szoboszlai, valued at 85 million euros by the Transfermarkt portal.

Szoboszlai is in his third season with the Cormorants after being transferred from RB Leipzig for €70 million. In the previous season, the Hungarian was one of the most important players in Liverpool's triumph in the Premier League.
