Krasnoyarsk Railways installed street gobo projectors with rules for crossing tracks at major stopping points within Krasnoyarsk

4 March 16:16

To increase the attentiveness of pedestrians, KrasZhD installed street gobo projectors with the rules for crossing railway tracks at 4 stations in Krasnoyarsk – Yenisei, Zlobino, Studencheskaya and Overpass.

New technical devices, using powerful optics, project bright inscriptions onto the platform: “Take off your headphones and hood!”, “Be vigilant! Let the train pass!”, “Be careful on the railway!”, “Do not use gadgets when crossing the tracks!”.

It was no coincidence that the stop points Studencheskaya, Puteprovod, Yenisei and Zlobino became the first in Krasnoyarsk, where railway workers began implementing a new project to prevent injuries. Gross violations are often recorded at these stations. In particular, people ignore safe crossings (pedestrian bridges, traffic lights, ground decks) and cross tracks in undesignated places in front of an approaching train.

To warn against such behavior, railway workers installed projectors resembling the rules in the immediate vicinity of pedestrian bridges and overpasses. They automatically turn on at nightfall, early in the morning and in the evening, when passenger traffic at the stations is maximum. During these periods, the largest number of electric trains run across Krasnoyarsk.

In the future, it is planned to equip other stations with similar devices, where gross violations of safety rules are often recorded.

KrasRussian Railways calls on citizens to exercise extreme vigilance at railway transport facilities. A train weighing several thousand tons covers a distance of over 30 meters in 1 second: it cannot be stopped instantly. It is strictly forbidden to cross the tracks in front of an approaching train.
