“Siberian Generating Company” summed up the results of the creative competition “Dream Energy”. This year it was timed to coincide with a significant event for the company – the launch of the second power unit of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3.
200 children from Zelenogorsk, Nazarovo, Kansk, Minusinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Abakan and Chernogorsk took part in the creative competition. They presented their works in two categories. In the first, “Drawing on Paper,” children used brushes, paints and pencils. But in the “Digital Painting” category, modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, came to the aid of young artists.
According to the terms of the competition, the artists revealed topics related to energy in their drawings. And here the imagination of the participants knew no bounds. Some drew intuitively, depicting radiators heating houses, or light creating the comfort of evening gatherings. Others created with skill: their drawings reflect the work of thermal power plants and state district power plants that produce heat, as well as long strings of power lines through which electricity is supplied to homes and social facilities.
The winners included the authors of 18 drawings. Of these, 14 live in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and four in Khakassia. SGK invited them to Krasnoyarsk for the awards ceremony. The meeting took place at the Energy Museum of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Since many had to travel a long way, the guests were greeted at home – with warm tea and pies. After refreshment, the participants walked around the museum. Experienced tour guides taught them about the different types of energy and how this important resource is supplied to residents' homes. And then they combined useful information with a pleasant event – receiving prizes based on the results of a creative competition.

Among the winners is six-year-old Ivan Strelkov from Zelenogorsk. The young artist was helped by his parents and an artificial intelligence program in creating his masterpiece. He received the prize in a category where such cooperation was welcomed.
Alexandra Orsic came from Nazarovo to the award ceremony. The young artist dedicated her drawing to the work of the city’s main heat source, the Nazarovo State District Power Plant. It should be noted that next year a large-scale environmental modernization will begin at the station: by 2032, all gas cleaning equipment will be updated there. It is planned to invest more than 3.3 billion rubles in the project, and as a result of its implementation, emissions of suspended particles will decrease by 47.2%.
“When I found out about the competition, I immediately decided to draw our state district power plant. It produces light and heat, and my mother also works there. I am very pleased that my drawing won and I received a gift for it,” said Alexandra Orsic, a participant in the children’s drawing competition.
The work of three-year-old Timofey Savisko from Kansk did not leave anyone indifferent. A smart guy came up with the idea of drawing a light bulb, and the details in the drawing were drawn by the parents.
“We drew for Power Engineer’s Day. We wanted to depict everything that represents energy: light, a light bulb. We haven't forgotten about thermal energy. This is how a thermal power plant appeared in the picture,” said Timofey’s dad Alexander Savisko.
After the award ceremony, all participants took a group photo as a souvenir and went home. Many of them are already looking forward to the next competition so that they can take part in it again and use drawings to tell about the big world of energy. In January 2026, the winners' drawings will decorate the exhibition “Energy of Dreams”, which will open in the Krasnoyarsk Children's Library named after. Pavel Bazhov.
