In Krasnoyarsk, the 38-year-old owner of the BananaDent dentistry will stand trial for systematically torturing his wife. This was reported to the regional prosecutor's office.
According to the supervisory agency, in the spring of 2025, conflicts in the family began to develop into systematic beatings. The man raised his hand to his wife at home and outside the apartment, including when drinking alcohol. Sometimes the businessman hit the woman in the face, head and body right in front of their common young child.
From time to time, the entrepreneur’s wife needed medical attention – doctors recorded injuries, bruises and abrasions. However, being completely financially dependent on her husband and not having her own separate home, she endured such treatment for a long time.
However, the truth nevertheless surfaced; a criminal case was opened against the owner of the dentistry; the prosecutor charged him with torturing his wife with extreme cruelty (clauses “d”, “d”, part 2 of article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The man did not admit his guilt. The businessman claimed that he did not beat his wife, but only tried to restrain her during quarrels.
The case of torturing a woman will be considered by the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk.
