In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 26-year-old deputy director of a children's store became a victim of scammers.
The press service of the regional prosecutor's office said that in December 2025, a resident of Achinsk, wanting to improve her financial situation and save up for a car, found an advertisement on the Internet about making money from the resale of cryptocurrency. After clicking on the link, she ended up in the application, where a certain “leading specialist” took care of her.
The scheme was built like a classic “pyramid of trust.” For the first two months, the woman deposited 40 thousand rubles and took them back. This convinced her of the “legality” of the project.
However, then the false specialist suggested reaching a new level – buying “silver”. The woman deposited 240 thousand rubles, and in February 2026, believing in growing profits, she took out a loan for 600 thousand rubles and transferred the money to the platform.
When $25 thousand had accumulated in her account, Achinka decided to withdraw the money, but she was required to pay $3 thousand for insurance. Without such a sum, she lost access to her savings.
“However, the scammers did not stop. Having convinced the victim that in order to save funds it was necessary to “close the account” through a trusted person, they forced her to drag her loved ones into the scam. The woman registered a “cold wallet” for her mother, after which the relative deposited 537 thousand rubles on the platform. Then the stepfather was involved in the scheme, acting as a “guarantor”. The man transferred 4 million, 3.2 million and 800 thousand rubles to the scammers in three stages,” the regional prosecutor’s office reported.
The amount of damage amounted to 9.3 million rubles. Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened for fraud (Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
