Earlier it became known that the meeting in Ramstein format will take place on April 11 in Brussels.
“The meeting is being prepared. There are two main tasks for today: these are exactly the air defense, namely [усиление украинской обороны системами] Patriot, and the second task is contingents, the maximum approximation of all solutions, the study of all parts. He also instructed a two -way basis to work on air defense, and especially with the United States of America, which have sufficient potential to help stop any terror, ”Zelensky said.
He believes that “we need an appropriate desire and appropriate decisions in order to protect more lives from Russian ballistics.”
“Also, the strengthening of our air shield will be simultaneously increased the entire diplomacy,” the President of Ukraine said.
Today he noted that the need to strengthen the air defense of Ukraine is an objective reality due to constant shelling from the Russian aggressor country.
“All the agreements that were reached with partners, but are not implemented, need to be activated as much as possible,” Zelensky said.
Context
After the start of full -scale Russian aggression in February 2022, Ukraine receives help from Western countries, including military and financial.
In the spring of 2022, the Ramstein format was established – monthly meetings of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine with the participation of representatives of more than 50 countries.
The last meeting in the Ramstein format took place on February 12, 2025. For the first time, Great Britain chaired it, and not the United States, as it was before. According to the results of the meeting, the participants confirmed their commitment to the further support of Ukraine and announced the allocation of billions of dollars to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
