CIA station in Saudi Arabia hit by a drone. Iran is suspected of the attack

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) station at the US Embassy in Saudi Arabia was hit on Monday, March 2, by a suspected Iranian drone.

According to Reuters, there are no indications that the station was the target of the attack, said a source familiar with the situation. The CIA declined to comment.
The attack came amid ongoing strikes in the Middle East following Saturday's US and Israeli attacks on Iran.
In the course of Monday to Tuesday, a “limited” fire broke out at the American embassy in Riyadh following an attack by two drones, the Ministry of Defense of Saudi Arabia announced.
“The American Embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two drones, causing a limited fire and minor material damage to the building”said a spokesperson of the ministry, quoted by Agerpres.
A source close to the Saudi military told AFP, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive issue, that Saudi air defense intercepted four drones targeting the diplomatic quarter in Riyadh.
American President Donald Trump stated, in an interview given to the News Nation channel, that the United States will respond “soon” lthe attack on their embassy in Riyadh.
Asked about the response to this attack, the American president said: “You'll soon find out”writes Agerpres.
Since the start of the joint US-Israeli military operation against Iran on Saturday, Iranian missiles aimed at Riyadh International Airport and the Prince Sultan Air Base, which hosts US troops, have already been intercepted.
