In Divnogorsk, cohabitants will go to trial for stealing money from a neighbor’s bank card. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

In November 2025, a resident of Divnogorsk contacted the police duty station with a statement about the theft of almost 20 thousand rubles from his bank card.

It turned out that the day before the theft, the man was drinking with his neighbors. Cohabitants who were visiting the victim came under suspicion from law enforcement officers. The moment the couple paid with a stolen card was caught on surveillance cameras in one of the stores.

“During operational activities, criminal investigation officers identified the suspects and detained them. They turned out to be a previously convicted resident of Divnogorsk and his partner. Police officers found out that the married couple was visiting a neighbor, where they drank alcohol together. The victim gave the man a card so that he could buy “supplements.” However, after the evening ended, he did not return the bank card and, together with his beloved, paid with it in several stores,” told the regional police.

According to this fact it was a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The perpetrators face up to 6 years in prison.

The criminal investigation has now been completed.
