As the military said in a statement with a photo, the Russian submarine as it surfaces is followed by a Swedish warship and Gripen planes. The operation is carried out in cooperation with allies from the Kattegat Strait and is of a routine nature, it was emphasized.

According to the Swedish public broadcaster SVT, the Russian ship is a diesel-electric vessel of the NATO code “Kilo” class that crashed in the English Channel.
