NATO announced on Sunday that it will adjust the positioning of its forces to guarantee the security of its 32 member states in the face of “potential threats” such as ballistic missiles or drones coming from Iran and its region, “or other regions”, reports AFP and Reuters.
The Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), US General Alexus Grynkewich, “continues to talk actively and regularly with military leaders on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as with the Secretary General of NATO”, informed the spokesman of the Supreme Allied Command Europe, Colonel Martin L. O'Donnell, on platform X.
The supreme commander “has adjusted and will continue to adjust the very strong posture of NATO forces to ensure the security of the 32 member states and to defend the Alliance against potential threats, such as ballistic missiles or unmanned aerial vehicles, originating from this region or from other regions,” he added.
