On March 1, 2026, amendments to the regional law came into force in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, prohibiting the sale of alcohol in stores located in apartment buildings from 21:00 to 10:00. On the first day, the police went to check and found the violators.
In the Sverdlovsk region, law enforcement officers visited 134 retail outlets. Officers from two police departments found four violators. Administrative cases have been initiated. 13 bottles of alcohol with a volume of more than 5 liters were seized from illegal circulation.
As the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized, most retail outlets, especially chain stores, were prepared for the innovations – they either closed after 21:00 or simply refused to sell alcohol to customers.
