Experienced gardeners specifically select the days when it is best to plant onions in the ground in order to reap a generous harvest in the fall. On February 28, the editors of the Ukrainian publication “On Pensions” told us exactly what dates in 2026 are best to sow onions.
The publication notes that it is best to plant onions on March 3, 4, 8, 10, 12, 13, 22, 23, 26, 27, 31.
In April, favorable days for sowing are the 1st, 4th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 27th, 28th.
How to sow onions
- Select high-quality planting material and soak it in warm water for eight hours, then rinse and dry.
- To improve the soil, prepare a substrate of peat, humus, garden soil and sand.
- The seeds should be sown shallowly and covered with a thin layer of soil on top.
