The IDF failed to intercept the missile
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they are investigating the failure to intercept the Iranian ballistic missile that struck Beit Shemesh.
The military said the Home Front Command's early warning system worked as expected and was activated in Bet Shemesh before the actual sirens went off, which also went off.
The head of the Home Front Command, Major General Shai Klepper, is also heading to the scene, the military added.
