During the live broadcast on Khamenei's death, the presenter of Iranian state television PressTV, Maryam Azarchehr, also expressed her emotions by delivering the news on-air.

Iranian regime media confirmed the death of Ali Khamenei, Reuters reports. “The Supreme Leader of Iran was martyred,” state television station IRIB reported.
Iranian state television and the state news agency IRNA reported the supreme leader's death, but did not provide the exact cause of death. Regime media reported that Khamenei was killed in his office in the early morning hours. 40 days of national mourning were announced in Iran.
