As the minister emphasized “the current situation does not threaten Poland's energy security.”
Earlier on Sunday, the gas transmission operator – Gaz-System – referring to the situation in the Middle East, announced in a published statement that “the national natural gas transmission system operates stably and the security of supplies of this raw material to Poland remains fully secured.”
Gaz-System emphasized that the Polish transmission and regasification infrastructure is prepared to receive natural gas supplies from any direction in the world. “The diversification of sources is ensured by interconnections with European Union countries, the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline and the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście, the capacity of which allows covering a significant part of the domestic demand. The terminal is adapted and accepts LNG deliveries from all over the world, which ensures operational flexibility in the event of changes in supply directions,” said the company's representatives.
At the same time, they pointed out that the regasification and transmission infrastructure operates continuously and uninterrupted, and the level of filling of national gas storage facilities – high for the final phase of the heating season – is currently approximately 50%, which places Poland among the leaders in Europe.
In turn, on Saturday evening, Orlen announced that it currently did not see any threats to the continuity of the company's oil supplies. In response to PAP's questions about the assessment of the situation after the attack on Iran, Orlen's press office emphasized that the company “is consistently implementing the strategy of diversifying sources of raw materials, which helps reduce the risk of possible disruptions in supply chains and increases the Group's operational flexibility.”

The Płock-based company also pointed out that it has a geographically diversified supply portfolio, and the raw material that goes to production plants comes from many regions of the world, including: from the Mediterranean basin, North and West Africa, Scandinavia, as well as from domestic extraction. The company also recalled that it has signed long-term contracts for the supply of crude oil, including: with Saudi Aramco and Equinor, which cover a significant part of its demand, with the remaining volumes supplemented by spot purchases.
