At least 85 people were killed Saturday in an attack that targeted a girls' school in southern Iran, authorities in Tehran announced, according to AFP.
The state agency IRNA announced that the attack took place in the city of Minab, where, writes AFP, there is also a base of the Revolutionary Guards.
So far, neither the US nor Israel have commented on this attack on the school.
However, images of the destroyed building and several victims appeared on social networks.

“This barbaric act constitutes a new black page in the balance sheet of the countless crimes committed by the aggressors,” Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian reacted in a statement.
The United States and Israel launched a coordinated attack on Iran on Saturday morning. In a speech, Donald Trump announced that they were “major combat operations” and hinted at the objective: regime change in Tehran.
In a short time, however, the war in Iran spread to the region. Tehran has launched retaliatory attacks on Israel and US military forces at bases in the Middle East.
