The tragedy occurred on May 23 on the territory of one of the city’s construction sites. The child could have entered there together with another teenager, the Kyiv region police reported on Facebook on May 26.
The tragedy was reported to the police by eyewitnesses who saw a child fall from a height at a construction site. According to investigators, an 11-year-old teenager climbed onto a construction crane and probably could have jumped down.
He died on the spot from his injuries. Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (premeditated murder marked “suicide”).
