Three varieties – and I don’t buy berries all summer: they are sweet on the bushes, and there will be enough jam until the New Year

If you dream of berries that don’t get sick, don’t require daily care, and produce in waves from June to September, pay attention to these proven varieties. They grow well in open ground, do not need a greenhouse and delight with sweetness even with minimal attention.

1. Raspberry “Hercules”

A remontant variety that bears fruit twice per season – in July and from August until frost. Large, dense berries do not wrinkle when picked and are ideal for jam, freezing and fresh desserts. The bushes are compact, almost without thorns, resistant to frost and fungi. From one bush you can collect up to 3–4 kg per season.

2. Gooseberry “Kolobok”

Sweet, large-fruited gooseberry without thorns. The berries are amber, thin-skinned and rich in flavor. It does not crack in the rain, does not crumble and is perfectly stored. Productivity – up to 6 kg per bush. Ideal for compotes, jams and homemade wine.

3. Strawberries “Alba”

An early, productive variety with large, juicy berries and bright red pulp. It bears fruit in early June, produces a healthy harvest and tolerates weather changes well. The berries are sweet, with a slight sourness, perfect for freezing and quick “five-minute” jam. From 1 m² you can collect up to 1.5 kg per season.

These varieties do not require frequent feeding, are rarely affected by pests and grow well even in an ordinary garden bed. Simply plant the bushes in a sunny place, mulch the soil with straw or sawdust and water every 4-5 days.

While your neighbors are buying sour strawberries in the store, you will already be brewing tea with raspberry jam, adding fresh berries to yogurt and storing liter jars of compote for the winter.
