Is March 1st a shopping Sunday? Check the schedule for this year

The Sunday trading ban has been raising emotions among some Poles for years, who are divided into its supporters and opponents. Some people consider Sunday to be a day of rest and add that shopping can be planned for the remaining days of the week. Others, however, call for greater flexibility in choosing stores.
In 2026, the government, similarly to previous years, has planned eight shopping Sundays. We will then make purchases in the store of our choice. You will have to wait for the next such opportunity – Sunday, March 1 is not a trading Sunday.

People planning shopping this Sunday will have to change their plans. Most stores, including the largest retail chains, will remain closed on that day. Only a limited number of points can be open, such as small local shops run by owners, franchise points and gas stations. Self-service stores may also be an alternative.
