EU pressure on the Russian shadow fleet
The EU list currently includes 589 entities suspected of involvement in circumventing sanctions against Russia. The shadow fleet plays a key role in Russia's oil exports, providing the Kremlin with the means to wage war against Ukraine.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Paris will seek to further intensify actions against these ships. The goal is to make it more difficult for Moscow to use maritime infrastructure to circumvent international restrictions and finance war activities.
