There are currently four polar bears in Roevoy Ruchek. — Felix, Martha, Ursula And Ermak. Three of them were rescued.

In 2006, an emaciated bear cub flew from Wrangel Island to Krasnoyarsk. The park staff named him Felix. Today he is the largest and most majestic bear in Swarm Creek. In 2018 year He was accompanied by Ursula from the village of Dikson, and in 2019 by Marfa from Norilsk. Now all the polar bears in the park are completely accustomed to their new life and have regained their health.

Another polar bear named Ermak came from Gelendzhik. He was born almost 6 years ago. Ehis father is Commander Sedov, who was the first polar bear in Krasnoyarsk park.

“Ermak is living proof that zoos today are not cages, but hope. Hope for species that are rapidly disappearing from the face of the wild planet. New filtration systems have been launched at Roevoy Ruchey and the Chelyabinsk Zoo, which make the water in the pools cleaner and more transparent than northern lakes. And so that the bears don’t get bored, special toys have been developed for them that support physical activity,” reported the press service of the park.

Polar bear is the largest predator on the planet. His skin is black, and his fur, which is usually called white, is actually transparent. These predators are excellent swimmers and have never seen penguins in their lives.

Today these predators are listed in the Red Book. They are on the verge of extinction due to poaching and climate change.
