In the first quarter of 2025, the Tauron Group generated a net profit attributable to shareholders of a dominant unit of PLN 1.13 billion, which means an increase of 39 percent. compared to the first quarter of last year – the company informed in Wednesday's announcement.
The corrected EBITDA of the company amounted to PLN 2.3 billion, growing by 24 percent. rdr. Revenues reached PLN 9.3 billion, i.e. by 10 percent. more than a year ago.
As Tauron informed, the greatest impact on the result was distributed, which was responsible for more than half of the group's EBITDA. This segment recorded 21 % An increase in gross operational profit year on year.
“Our financial results for the first quarter of 2025 are perfect and we are extremely happy, but we look at the development of Tauron in the long term. We intensively implement our new strategy. On the one hand, this means work on new products and services – so that they best respond to the needs of six millions of our clients. On the other hand, the transformation of the entire group, which will allow complete atmospheric neutrality. Tauron already in 2040 ” – pointed out the president of Tauron Polska Grzegorz Lot cited in the announcement.
The announcement states that in the first three months of this year Tauron produced 3.49 TWh of electricity, which means an increase of 9 percent. rdr. Production from renewable sources was 0.42 TWh – by 11 percent less than a year ago – incl. Due to the weaker hydrological and windy conditions, as well as the effects of the flood from September 2024.
The group also increased the volume of energy supplied to 13.73 TWh, and the number of operated recipients remained at the level of 6 million. Heat production increased by 8 percent. RDR up to 4.71 PJ.
The group's investment outlays in the first quarter amounted to PLN 1.07 billion, growing by 27 percent. rdr. The most funds (72 percent) were directed to distribution infrastructure, and 18 percent for the development of renewable energy sources.
The Tauron group consists of about 30 related economic entities. The largest of them is Tauron Polska Energia. The group's basic activity is the production, distribution and sale of electricity and heat. (PAP)
