A former employee returned to the enterprise in Dudinka and stole 70 thousand worth of tools

In Dudinka, a man was detained for cleaning out a utility room at his former place of work. The police solved the case without delay, the press service reports.

In the morning, one of the company’s employees discovered broken locks and missing tools: several grinders, a welding machine and other devices had disappeared. The damage was estimated at 67 thousand rubles.

The suspect was found within 24 hours. He turned out to be a 51-year-old local resident who already had a criminal record. The man admitted that he had previously worked at this enterprise and knew where the equipment was. Having waited for the right moment, he used a pipe to break the padlock in the utility room, and then, using the same stolen grinder, he sawed off the locks on the metal cabinets. I planned to sell the instruments.

During a search of his apartment, the police found everything stolen. The property was seized and will soon be returned to the owners. A criminal case was opened against the attacker under the article of theft, he faces up to five years in prison. For now he is under recognizance not to leave.
