Who threatened Padalko to pour acid on her children, why did she kick her husband out, and what happened to the tooth that fell out on live TV?

Marichka Padalko is a mother of many children. She has two daughters and a son, who at the age of 18 joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and defends the country from Russian occupiers at the front. The father of the children is the second husband of the presenter, a former people's deputy, and now a military man, Yegor Sobolev.

Got married on my birthday

February 26 is a triple holiday in the family of Padalko and Sobolev, since they were born on the same day, but with a difference of one year – the husband is younger than his famous wife.

In addition, on this day 16 years ago they registered their marriage.

Why Padalko kicked her husband out of the house

The couple have been a model of an ideal family for many years, but in November 2015, Sobolev said on Facebook that Padalko kicked him out of the house.

This post is now unavailable, but the media, including Gazeta.ua and TabloID, actively talked about this situation at the time.

“Padalko kicked Sobolev out of the house,” the headlines were full of at the time.

According to Sobolev, he then had to leave home because his wife criticized the Samopomich party because its members refused to vote for the anti-discrimination law.

Despite the conflict, the couple managed to make peace.

Yawned in the frame

Padalko treats incidents on air with humor, emphasizing that the presenters are ordinary people who can even yawn on camera.

A similar incident happened in April 2017, but the presenter elegantly got out of the spicy situation.

Threats to family

In December 2017, Padalko reported that her family received a threatening letter.

“My parents found a large letter in their mailbox, sent on December 4, 2017. In it, an unknown person scolds Yegor Sobolev, repeating theses about “destabilization,” “working for Moscow,” etc. At the end of the letter, the author threatens to throw acid on my children,” Padalko wrote.

Sobolev himself, speaking in the Rada on December 22, said that “it will not be possible to intimidate Ukraine.”

Lost a tooth live

In the summer of 2020, Padalko was again embarrassed on the live broadcast of the news channel “1+1” – when she was talking about the situation with coronavirus in one of the villages of the Kherson region, her tooth fell out. Despite what happened, Padalko continued to broadcast, hiding her tooth in her palm.

“I’m sorry,” the presenter said, continuing to voice the eyeliner.

On screen – without makeup

Padalko is not afraid of experiments, and when her colleagues suggested going on air without makeup in the summer of 2021 on the occasion of Natural Beauty Day, the presenter agreed.

“A live experiment – my colleagues promoted me to appear on the air of a TSN episode with a clean face for the Day of Natural Beauty, which is celebrated today in the world. I probably would not have agreed to this if they had offered to work without makeup the day before. I have never done this on TV in my life. But here there was no time to think,” the presenter admitted.

Doesn't communicate with mother-in-law from Russia

In April 2022, Padalko reported that her husband had interrupted contacts with his parents, who live in the aggressor country of the Russian Federation. According to Padalko, she wrote to her father-in-law on the day of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation.

“I know how much his parents love him, and I know that the love of his parents is the best protection, I immediately started writing to his mother so that she would pray for him. In her words there were a lot of worries for her son, so that everything would be fine with us,” said the TV presenter.

She noted that, as it soon became clear, the experiences of Sobolev’s parents concerned him personally, but were not support for Ukraine. When Padalko’s husband found out the position of his relatives, he interrupted communication with them.

“Egor told them not to write to him anymore. He wrote to them everything that he thought about Russia, about them, everything that he saw there – raped girls the age of our youngest child – well, he wrote curses to them and their country,” Padalko said.
