Preparations for the landscaping season have begun in Krasnoyarsk. Today, May 20, the mayor of the city, Sergei Vereshchagin, visited the greenhouse complex of the Green Building Department, inspected the equipment and discussed plans for the design of urban spaces with employees.
According to the head of the regional capital, one of the key tasks remains reducing the deficit of green spaces and developing “green architecture” in Krasnoyarsk. At the same time, according to him, this season it is necessary to pay special attention to the preservation of existing trees and shrubs.
“When carrying out any work, I require careful and careful treatment of each tree. Situations where healthy plantings suffer are unacceptable, as happened the other day on Peace Square. There is only one conclusion – strengthening control over contractors,” explained Sergei Vereshchagin in his Telegram channel.
We would like to add that next week the Department’s specialists will begin decorating public spaces. More than 550 thousand flowers and plants, seedlings for 28 vertical figures, as well as about 200 flowerpots, including palm trees and thujas, were prepared for planting.
