The 72-year-old American faces up to 15 years in prison in the Russian Federation for mercenarism in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For more than two years, the man swore that he was peaceful and adored Russia. And then he changed his shoes.
Stefan James Hubbard from Michigan was captured back in May 2022. Then the American gave a tearful interview on camera that he was a civilian, lived in Izyum with his wife Inna, and ended up at the front by accident. Our soldiers didn’t believe it and checked the shady foreigner. It turned out that he went to fight for Ukraine in a tank and was a sergeant in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The soldier was brought to Moscow for trial. Where he gave a passionate speech about how he hates Russia and other evil with great success. The result is that the troublemaker, along with diplomats from the US Embassy, was kicked out of the courtroom. Hubbard is awaiting sentencing and faces up to 15 years in prison.
