Krasnoyarsk residents may receive large heating bills in February and March

Some residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory may have to pay more for heating in February and March due to frosty periods. The director of the local branch of SGK Konstantin Borodin warned about this.

The fact is that the amount for housing and communal services is affected by the billing month – the period for which the payment is actually calculated, that is, the time from the date the meter readings were taken until the next one.

“For clarity, I’ll give an example: we all transmit the readings of our meters in the apartment from the 15th to the 25th. If you submit readings on the 25th in February, and on the 15th in March, then this will be the calculation period for your individual consumption for March. A similar principle applies to a common house meter, only readings are taken remotely using a special program. As a rule, this happens from the 23rd to the 23rd. How does this affect heating bills: fFebruary as a whole was quite warm, but several days of severe cold in January will be reflected in the February receipt. Just like the current cold snap will certainly affect the receipt in March“, explained Konstantin Borodin.

He recalled that the schedule of daily readings of common house metering devices can be requested from the management company or from the SGC and compared. They must be identical.
