In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, at the request of the prosecutor's office, the resource supply organization will return 4 million rubles to residents of Khatanga for inflated payments.

According to the press service of the regional supervisory agency, in end of August 2024ode to Khatange in 44 apartment buildingsOh heating supply appeared. The resource supply company started supplying heat ahead of schedule, ignoring the administration’s order district about the start of the heating season strictly from September 1.

“The essence of the violation was obvious: 600 residents of houses without communal metering devices were charged the full monthly standard rate, although heat was supplied for only a few days. The company insisted that the calculation was correct, since the standard was initially focused on the full period and did not take into account the actual duration of the supply. More than 600 families received inflated bills totaling over 4 million rubleslei,” the regional prosecutor’s office clarified.

The supervisory authority responded to the situationhowever, the company rejected the proposal for recalculation. As a result The prosecutor went to court to protect consumer rights. The court ordered the company to return the overpayment.

Organization triedAtried to challenge the decision in a higher court, but the complaint was left unsatisfied. Execution is under the control of the prosecutor's office.
