The 28 teams qualified so far for the 2026 World Cup

FIFA's October window for national teams has ended. At this moment, 28 teams are known that will be at the World Championship in 2026. There are still 20 places available.
In Asia and Africa, the preliminary groups are finished this month, with continental play-offs to be held in November. The winning teams will go to the intercontinental play-offs, which will be played in March 2026.
Cape Verde, Algeria, Ghana, Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, South Africa, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and England are the national teams that have secured tickets for the World Cup in October.
In Europe, the preliminary groups for the World Championship end in November
If the preliminary groups have finished on the rest of the continents, there are still matches to be played in Europe. All will take place in November, the month in which we will find out all 12 group winners.
So far, only England have mathematically won their group and are assured of the World Cup. The remaining 11 national teams will be decided in the middle of next month. In addition to the 12, another 4 teams from Europe will go to the WC passing the barrier.
